A Jester’s Love

in a moment
abrupt devolution
limb to limb, joyously

understandings, viewpoints
on the old, new
cloud, disappear

irrational, untamed
grasping ethereal notions
no earth-bound impressions

to any ear
spouting platitudes
no answer anticipated

senses accentuated
flowers, perfume, twigs
new, sensual, discoveries

a fool unearths love
is flung into the firmament
preferring, aloft to stay
