Why I love Movies

Just watched The Descendants…

…and that is why I want to make movies, write scenes that cut through the bullshit of our lives and find the truth beneath the surface. To clearly display the hurt, anger, disappointment, disillusionment and the multi-faceted complications we face each day. So an audience member, like myself, can walk out of the dark room, with red eyes, drained emotionally, but finding a door open within myself to a place I was afraid to go. So each of us finds something we need, such as for me to feel long-forgotten pain in the loss of a sibling, to cry deeply and remember her face, holding her hand the last time, her pained smile, saying goodbye and the moment of her passing.

This is why I love movies.
