my being, mutely
observes life about me
seemingly, participate, I do not
yet, inside I am stirred
by a great wand of living
welling emotions, too numerous
at times, overwhelming, creating
what seems as darkness
fleeting, daunting shadows
dancing upon cave walls
nonetheless, an ardent luminescence
brings healing, erases scars
from long ago
strengthening damaged boundaries
so I may care more
from the sanctuary
of my soul
